Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington is quickly becoming a staple in baseball’s postseason. For the second straight year, Washington led Texas to the American League West title, besting the Los Angeles Angels. The Rangers set a team record with 96 victories in 2011.
Based on the well rounded nature of the Rangers’ roster, many baseball observers believe Washington’s club could make a repeat visit to the World Series. During last October’s Fall Classic, Texas lost in five games to the San Francisco Giants.
Wednesday, Washington was seen leaving the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Anaheim, technically located in Orange, California. The manager was waiting for his ride to Angel Stadium, prior to Texas' final regular season game. Washington looked relaxed, yet focused on the task that lies ahead.
After the 3-1 victory vs. the archrival Angels, the Rangers boarded a flight home to Dallas/Fort Worth for an opening round series matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays.
