When I first met Akon I didn't know much about him aside from what I read and who he had worked with.  We were hardly playing his music on our station and to my knowledge was fairly new.

So I read that Akon was a polygamist.  From Wikipedia's definition a polygamist is: "In social anthropology, polygamy is the practice of a person's making
him/herself available for two or more spouses to mate with."

In other words he has more than one lady friend.  So maybe 2 questions in I asked him about it and he denied it!  I knew I read it so I didn't push it with him.  The rest of the interview was friendly and he seemed like a gentleman.

By the way, I asked a few other dj's wo interviewed Akon whether they asked the polygamist question.  They all told me he felt real uncomfortable about the answer as well.

Not a bad thing to say about the guy, but that question seems to be a sore spot.
