When I was in Virginia, I attended a wrestling event from Ward Family Promotions. Marvin Ward was the promoter and every year he would put on a show with Legends of the industry. He did tell me that his goal was to reunite the Four Horsemen at one of these shows, I do not know if that ever happened. One of my favorites as a kid was the Road Warriors and at this show I got to meet Animal.

It was after his partner Hawk died. As you can see in the picture, he was wearing a shirt with Hawk’s face on it in tribute.  The room was set up with tables and each wrestler was selling products and when I got to Hawk’s table, I asked for a picture and he agreed. As soon as I stood next to him, the batteries in my camera....died. He was cool about waiting for me to change batteries, then said something to the effect of “way to go or that was nice” and then finally got a picture taken with him.

 His son later played at Ohio State University and will probably get drafted next month in the NFL draft. I just hope it is not by the Steelers. Ohio State Sucks!!! If you listen to the Jim Rome Show, you will understand what the last part means.
