Ok I know that in every family there is always one. What I mean by that is there is always a, "black sheep", or that one family that can't quite get there **it together. No what I mean? Well sometime last year I remember turning on MTV and seeing R&B singer Mario and his Mother on a special exposing her drug addiction/use. It was a very real, moving and honest special. Unlike anything I had ever seen. To let the whole world into your personal life about you and a member of your family, let alone your Mother, takes alot of courage. I too have a family member that has a drug addiction that they have been trying to kick for years, try decades! I am an On-Air Radio Personality and because of my profession I have to be very cautious about who I share my private life with. I needed advice in the worst way but just didn't want to let anybody in from the outside, fearing that it would be revealed.

On this day things had been really rough and approaching a boiling point. I received a phone call from the person(family member) telling me how they wanted to go to rehab ASAP and needed a way out. I was feeling pretty discouraged about how I could provide treatment for this person and how I should deal with the situation. About 30 min after that phone call I received a email letting me know that Mario would be my in studio guest for that night. BINGO!! It dawned on me immediately. I will ask Mario how he has dealt with it. For some reason I felt totally comfortable with this and decided to get my weight up and ask. And that I did. Mario was beyond helpful! Not only was he very sensitive about the whole thing but he offered the best advice that I have yet to receive and he also offered to pay for the rehab whenever I was ready for them to go. Whata Blessing! And for that I always look at Mario in a whole different light from any other Celebrity that I have met and I hold him in he highest regards. Respect Mario!
