If you paid any attention to the Grammy's last night in Los Angeles,
the one person who definetly stood out was Pink. Suspended high above
the black tie affair (well, everyone except Adam Sandler) dripping wet
and doing a trapeeze circ de soleil act. An appearance which she said
later ""When I do it on tour, I
don't have lights above me. There were lights above me, so it
almost went into a strobe thing, and I actually did get a little
turned around.
"I thought I was going to fall on my nude butt. But I worked it
out."
But this is no exception, she's been doing standing out for years.
Mind
you, I met Pink almost 10 years ago at a radio station sponsored
concert in San Jose, California. It was right as Pink had really
established herself as a mainstay artist. She still had the Pink hair
and everything. Pink couldn't be a more "real" person. Everything she
says has meaning, and you hear that in her music even today.
With her album 'Funhouse' you can hear the raw emotion that comes out when singing about her split with Carey Hart.
As
demonstrated at the Grammy awards last night, Pink is an entertaining
performer who really can sing. When I met her she was genuine and had
crazy style. She's toned it down a bit over the years, but the core
remains the same!
