Charlie Murphy was a surprise when he came to visit the station. I was working at WBLS in NYC at the time with Wendy Williams and he came in for an interview. I wasnt sure who he was at first until I took a good look at him. How could you not know who he's related to?... Him and Eddie Murphy look so much alike. To be perfectly honest with you I cant really remmeber exactly what he'd been promoting. But it was in 2005 for sure...around the time when started voicing Ed Wuncler for "the boondocks". He def brought in alot of sunshine. Full of energy and dressed really old school. I could remmeber him wearing a kango snap hat and a button down shirt with a shirt underneath.

Wendy Williams asked him about his relationship with his brother Eddie Murphy and he went on to talk about how thye were ok and so was their relationship. Something about the way he answered didnt seem so fullfilling. But he was cool and we loved him! He just had a real old school flavor to him and he may have been on something. Well he just appeared a bit too excited if you knwo what I mean. After about ten minutes of chatting with him, Wendy rapped up the interview. Im not sure if she was so into interviewing him. Although it did work out well and he was enlightening, he went on his way with no one interested in taking pictures of anything. Short and sweet!
