Angela Rypien Makes Her Professional Debut At QB
By Bruce Tenen - Sun, 2011-10-09 07:00
Mark Rypien played in the NFL for 11 seasons, winning Super Bowl MVP in the Washington Redskins victory over the Buffalo Bills during Super Bowl XXVI. Now, Mark’s daughter Angela has emerged as the family’s latest strong armed signal caller.
Angela Rypien made her debut on September 30 for the Seattle Mist of the Lingerie Football League, leading her squad to a 42-8 rout of the host Green Bay Chill, throwing three touchdown passes. She soon may become the most famous Rypien at quarterback after going into Green Bay and getting this big win. Way to go Amanda!
The home opener for the 1-0 Mist is November 4 against the Las Vegas Sin. The LFL’s regular season involves a four-game schedule.
