Ball State In Hot Water Over Title IX
By Bruce Tenen - Wed, 2011-06-22 14:00
The men’s baseball team at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana has a newly-remodeled locker room. At the same time, the women’s softball team changes their clothes at home, in the dugout, or even in their car because they have no changing room. Proponents of Title IX are not too happy about this.
Now, a federal investigation into the athletic department is underway and the Women's Sports Foundation is calling the BSU situation "a big red flag." The foundation also claims that the priorities of the BSU athletic department don't "include women." No comment from Ball State......yet.
