Championship Games Upset Alert Report
By Bruce Tenen - Mon, 2012-01-23 20:04
Sunday, underdogs thrived during a compelling day of NFL football.
The Baltimore Ravens were a seven-point underdog at New England, losing 23-20, when kicker Billy Cundiff shanked a short field goal on the last play of the game.
San Francisco was a two-point favorite over the Giants, but lost 20-17 in overtime, due to the misadventures of backup punt returner Kyle Williams.
Both games ended very dramatically, setting up a Super Bowl XLII rematch.
Sunday marked a great day of pro football, unless your name is Cundiff or Williams.
Season upset alert record: 18-13-1
