The opening line for Super Bowl XLVI favors New England by 3 1/2 points, with an over/under margin of 55 1/2 total points.

These early numbers are actually quite surprising. 

Las Vegas oddsmakers are not often wrong, but this time it seems like they are way off. New York is presently the better overall team and should be favored.  Expect the points spread to move in the Giants' direction during the next few days.
