Our Super Bowl prediction of an upset by the Giants and an under of 53 proved to be prophetic, as New York scored in the final minute to defeat New England 21-17. The Giants were a 2.5-point underdog and the line for total points scored was the previously mentioned 53. 

The Giants became the first team to win the Super Bowl with a 9-7 regular season record. Eli Manning and company’s playoff victories over the Falcons, Packers, 49ers and Patriots, teams who totaled 51 regular season wins, also set an NFL record.
