Kentucky Romps Despite Calipari’s Concern
By Bruce Tenen - Sat, 2011-11-12 08:00
Kentucky coach John Calipari told local media that his team was overrated and two weeks ago said that "forty or fifty, perhaps even one hundred teams" could beat the Wildcats. Then, Kentucky went out to play an exhibition against Morehead State.
Kentucky made their first 26 shots from the floor and led by 30 points after only seven minutes, cruising to a halftime advantage of 74-13. The final score was 125-40, an 85-point win by the Wildcats. Morehead made only 17 percent of their field goal attempts.
Apparently, they weren't one of those "one hundred teams."
