Sports Illustrated came out with their annual compilation of the 50 highest-paid US athletes and there were surprises at the top. The list included monies gained by salary, winnings, bonuses, endorsements and appearances fees.
Tiger Woods led the chart again this year with $62.3 million, just ahead of links rival Phil Mickelson, who came in at $61.2 million.
LeBron James ($44.5m), Peyton Manning ($38.0m) and Alex Rodriguez ($36.0m) round out the top five.
In all, the top 50 includes 19 NBA players, 17 baseball players, and 8 NFL players.
