Stanley Cup Finals Is A Tale Of Two Cities
During the first six games of the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals, the Vancouver Canucks have won their three home games by a margin of five goals to two goals, while the Boston Bruins romped in their three home games by a whopping 17-3 advantage. Boston goalie Tim Thomas has allowed only eight shots past him in the first six contests and yet the series is tied 3-3. In total, the Bruins have outscored the Canucks 19-8.
If Vancouver wins Game 7 at home, the Stanley Cup will return to Canada for the first time since 1993.
Throw in Mark Recchi of Boston, who seems to have found the Fountain of Youth at age 43, along with Roberto Luongo, the Vancouver goalie who has been very shaky at times and you have all the makings of a very intriguing deciding game of the NHL finals.
