Underwear Controversy In The Alps

Tina Maze underwear ControversySlovenian skier Tina Maze placed second in a giant slalom race in Austria earlier this month, while causing a controversy over the type of underwear she was wearing.

The Swiss Ski Federation filed a protest about her one-piece, long underwear, worn under her racing uniform in Bad Kleinkircheim. The Swiss complained that the underwear contained some plastic which could prevent her body from breathing, creating a health concern and also an aerodynamic advantage.

The undergarment was confiscated, tested and ruled legal by race officials, who recommended that female skiers should not wear the body stocking.

Maze later provoked the issue during a televised interview by stripping away the top of her ski suit to reveal a sports bra which read:  "Not Your Business."
