TMZ reports that according to papers filed recently in LA County Superior Court, Jantel Lavender of the Los Angeles Sparks allegedly kneed her boyfriend in the crotch, pulled out a knife, threatened to kill him and slammed his head into a wall.

Adam Ashley insists that he was kneed so hard that his "groin" area throbbed with pain. 

Ashley claims that it was not the first time an incident like this had taken place. As a result, the judge issued a temporary restraining order against the Los Angeles center.

Lavender later filed for a restraining order of her own against Ashley regarding the same July 5 altercation  (in which she accused Ashley of coming to her home, verbally harassing her, and attempting to punch her).  

The 6-4 Lavender was the number five overall choice in the 2011 WNBA Draft.

The dynamic duo was scheduled meet again in court, not on court, on August 30.
