With back-to-school just around the corner, we wondered what lessons celebrities' school yearbook photos might hold for the rest of us.

Here's what we've gleaned:

1.  FOR THE MOST PART, STARS REALLY ARE BORN, NOT MADE

Yeah, yeah-- we'd all love to think that today's most gorgeous stars were as awkward and pathetic in high school as we were, but you only need to look at a few of these photos to realize that the camera loved them just as much then, and they knew it.

2.  BEST PREDICTOR OF FUTURE STARDOM:  IMMUNITY TO 80'S HAIR

As if life wasn't unfair enough already.   Mall-bangs, mullets, and frosted tips just didn't seem to have the same crippling effects on these people as they did on the rest of us:

3.  FEATURE LEAST LIKELY TO PREVENT FUTURE SUCCESS: ROGUE EYEBROWS

So If a good pair of tweezers is all that's keeping you from looking your best,  you just might have a shot at the big time, kiddo.
