First it was 500 Days of Summer, where Joseph Gordon-Levitt not only gave a touching performance in the lead role, but also surprised us all with his keen aptitude for musical comedy:

Then came his appearance on SNL last fall, when he blew the audience away with his performance of "Make 'Em Laugh" in his monologue sequence.    

And now we have his stunning performance in Inception, which, weighty as the role was (because let's face it--you need some serious acting presence to to be able to share the screen with Dicaprio), still manages to showcase his physical weightlessness and agility:

Which is one of the reasons we're loving Joseph Gordon-Levitt  right now, even though he's kind of been under our noses all along.  (If you don't remember 3rd Rock From the Sun, you almost certainly know him from 10 Things I Hate About You).

It's always nice to see a talented child actor transition into skilled adult one without a lot of public drama and dysfunction in between, don't you think?
