Christian Ponder May Need To Curb His Enthusiasm

Larry David and Curb Your EnthusiasmThe Minnesota Vikings chose Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder with the twelfth pick in last spring’s NFL Draft. The Vikings QB of the future has impressed many with his work ethic, intellect and academic accomplishments.

While at FSU, Ponder was named the nation's top student-athlete, after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in finance and a Masters of Business Administration, all during his college football career.

Because of his brain power, Ponder has been an interesting Twitter account to follow. Two of the best nuggets came within the last few days.

On July 23, Ponder wrote: “My neighbor looks exactly like Larry David.”

Moving forward, Ponder may want to be on alert for any bizarre misunderstandings that may result from bumping into LD, Jeff Greene or Marty Funkhouser.

Early Tuesday, Ponder was the first member of the Vikings organization to announce the impending acquisition of Washington Redskins QB Donovan McNabb.

Ponder wrote: “Excited to have McNabb join. Will learn a lot from a Pro Bowler. But that doesn't mean I'm not still fighting to start week 1!”

While the agreed upon terms of the McNabb trade have been widely reported, nothing will become official until the former Philadelphia Eagles star agrees to a restructuring of his contract.

But, thanks to Mr. Ponder, it is safe to say that this deal becoming official is pretty close to a certainty.
