Gasol, Conley & Randolph Outside Downtown LA Hotel (Videos)

Marc Gasol signing autographs, Mike Conley signing autographsWhile in the midst of their current early season, four-game California road trip, the Memphis Grizzlies recently encountered a fairly bizarre scheduling quirk, when the schedule makers slotted two separate visits to Los Angeles, with a game at Sacramento in between. Memphis’ present travel itinerary features LA-Sacramento-LA-Golden State. Welcome to life in the NBA!

The Grizzlies’ LA portion of the journey turned out to be perfectly successful, after impressive wins against the Lakers on Friday and Clippers on Monday. Below is original video (from Friday), featuring the team’s biggest stars, as they exited the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. Live, located across the street from Staples Center.

Jon Rapoport has spent his career working on all sides of the media and sports industry. He began his career at ESPN in studio production at the ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut. While there, he won an Emmy for his contribution to "SportsCenter." Following his tenure at ESPN, Jon relocated to Los Angeles, joining the staff of the “Best Damn Sports Show” on FOX Sports Net.

Born and raised in Plymouth, Minnesota (just outside of Minneapolis), Jon is an avid sports fan, particularly for his beloved Minnesota teams. Jon graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he earned his BA in communication and interned for ABC’s “Good Morning America” in New York City and Washington D.C. He is married and resides in Los Angeles.
