Tony Romo hanging with fans in North & South Texas

Since first emerging onto the national sports scene in 2006, Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo has grown into one of the most talked about athletes in the land.

Epic regular season performances, disappointing postseasons and continuous appearances in the tabloids have become the constant for the former undrafted QB from Eastern Illinois.

Romo, who lost his first two playoff games, finally reversed the trend when the Cowboys defeated the Eagles 34-14, during last season’s NFC Wildcard Game.  Dallas would receive a 34-3 shellacking from Brett Favre and the Vikings the following week.

The fame and cache attached to being a star QB for the Cowboys has not been lost on Romo.  In the last few years, the two-time All-Pro has been romantically linked to Carrie Underwood, Sophia Bush and Jessica Simpson.

Despite his immense fame and newfound wealth, Romo has appeared to maintain his down-to-earth sensibility.  Fans throughout Texas and the country generally have gracious things to say about the QB.

Below are two pieces of video exhibiting this idea. The first scene took place at what is believed to be the Hyatt Regency Dallas. The second setting is outside the Grand Hyatt San Antonio, during Cowboys’ training camp.
