Thursday night, the 14-10 Celtics host the 14-11 Lakers in a TNT nationally televised game. Boston versus LA is arguably the NBA's best all-time rivalry, as these teams have met 12 times in the NBA Finals, with the Celtics winning nine of those meetings.

Lately, the Lakers have gotten the best of the Celtics in Boston, during the regular season, winning three straight and five out of six.   

The two teams have combined for a total of 33 NBA titles, with Boston winning 17 and the Lakers winning 16.

Even more amazingly perhaps, the two iconic franchises have combined for 52 total conference championships (LA - 31, BOS – 21).
