A Rare Kind Of College Football Game In Tuscaloosa
By Ryan Rapoport - Wed, 2011-11-02 13:51
Saturday night, No.2 Alabama hosts No.1 LSU in a rare regular season game involving the nation’s top two teams. This will only be the eleventh time in NCAA football history that this kind of game has occurred.
The last regular season No.1 vs. No.2 game was in 2006, when Ohio State hosted Michigan. Ohio State won that game 42-39, helping them reach the BCS Championship game, where they would ultimately lose to Florida 41-14.
