Wisconsin Fan’s Guide To Attending Sat’s Game At Minnesota
Saturday, the Wisconsin Badgers take on the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. For Badger fans attending this game against the 2-7 Gophers, the game itself does not possess the same appeal as that of a game at Ohio State or Michigan. This one is all about border bragging rights and possession of Paul Bunyan’s Axe.
However, since the stadium is only three-years-old and sits in the middle of a big city, a trip to the U of M offers a unique combination that most college towns and traditional rivals simply cannot offer.
As the below ifollosports.com original photos show, the brand new stadium is very state of the art.
According to gophersports.com, the home locker room at TCF Bank Stadium is 60 yards long by 25 yards wide, making it the largest in all of college and professional football.
The locker room contains 120 cherry wood lockers.
Here is a guide for parking around the stadium and transportation for getting to and from campus.
The official Wisconsin pre-game party will take place in Downtown Minneapolis, at the corner of First Ave North and Fourth Street South.
Once the game concludes, fans have a wide array of dining and nightlife opportunity, both in the area around campus and in nearby downtown Minneapolis, which is only three miles away.

Downtown offers a huge variety of hotels, bars and restaurants. The most prominent hotels include the Minneapolis Marriott City Center, Radisson Plaza Hotel Minneapolis, The Graves 601 Hotel, The Grand Hotel Minneapolis, the W Minneapolis- The Foshay and the Hilton Minneapolis.
The Vikings will be staying at the Hilton on Saturday night, prior to their Sunday afternoon game versus the Packers.
The Warehouse District is another area filled with nightlife. Some of its well known spots include Kieran's Irish Pub, Hubert's Sports Bar and Grill and Gluek's Restaurant and Bar. Target Field and Target Center are two of the geographical centerpieces of this area.
The Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport is located in Bloomington, roughly 20 minutes south of TCF Bank Stadium. The area offers many places to stay and plenty of nightlife. The biggest attraction in Bloomington is the Mall of America. MOA offers endless amounts of shopping and restaurant options, as well as an indoor amusement park.
