It's not unusual for certain members of the winning Super Bowl team to be seen on the talk show circuit during the week after the Super Bowl. Aaron Rodgers' appearance on Late Night with David Letterman was pretty much a given, considering the show's long tradition of booking the winning team's quarterback as its Monday-after headliner guest.
But it's less common for the more popular guest to be the team's linebacker. Admittedly we're only talking about three total appearances here, and Matthews does have a product to hawk now. Which might explain why he was on the Ellen Degeneres show , since women still buy the majority of men's shampoo (especially when someone who looks like Matthews is endorsing it!)
So does that mean that, if the Steelers had won, Troy Polamalu might have been sitting in Ellen's guest chair instead?

Clay Matthews on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno 2/9/11
Clay Matthews on the Ellen Degeneres Show 2/10/11
