Bo, Brock, Ozzie & Alomar At Autograph Signing (Videos)
Saturday afternoon, the Minneapolis Sports Collectable Convention was held at the Earl Brown Heritage Center, in the Twin Cities suburb of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. In addition to sports memorabilia and collectables for purchase, the main attraction involved numerous big-time former athletes signing autographs. Some of the headliners included baseball legends Bo Jackson, Lou Brock, Ozzie Smith and Roberto Alomar
Of the four iconic ballplayers, Jackson is the only one who is not a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame. With that said, the former two sport superstar is perhaps the most significant athlete of the group. Not only is Jackson one of the few people to play professional baseball and football, simultaneously, the Alabama native also lists a Heisman Trophy on his résumé (Auburn in 1985).
Bo was widely known for making so many spectacular and memorable plays, in both sports, until his football and most of his baseball career was cut short after suffering a devastating hip injury in 1991. If Jackson was able to stay healthy, he very well could have joined these other immortals in Cooperstown.
Below are a series of iFolloSports.com original videos, chronicling some of the day's events.
