Twins Slugging 2B Brian Dozier Hanging With Fans (Video)
Minnesota Twins All-Star second baseman Brian Dozier has found himself in the baseball news cycle frequently this offseason, amid a flurry of trade rumors. The 29-year-old is coming off his best MLB season, where he hit a whopping 42 home runs, establishing a new American League record for second basemen. Despite all of Dozier's great individual success in 2016, the Twins lost a team record 103 games. With the organization getting a new president of baseball operations and general manager, during the offseason, some think it makes sense to garner a bevy of prospects for Dozier, while his value is so high. It is certainly a dilemma for Twins fans, because on one hand you could potentially rebuild the struggling team with a good trade for Dozier. However, it would be hard for many to see him in another uniform.
Time will tell if Dozier will still be with the Twins long term. The Dodgers had been the team most interested in his services. But, as of right now, Dozier is still on the Twins and appears happy to be in Minnesota.
Recently, the 2017 edition of TwinsFest was held at Target Field. Above is iFolloSports.com original video of the Mississippi native signing autographs, with the below video showing Dozier playing in a human foosball game, during the event. With Dozier's strong play and really laid back southern personality, the 29-year-old ranks as probably the most popular Twins player right now.
