Game 2 Is A Virtual Must-win For The Hawks
Friday night, the Hawks host the Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Cavs took Game 1 97-89, behind LeBron James' 31 points and a 28-point contribution from J.R. Smith. Cavs star Kyrie Irving, who has not been himself while dealing with a knee injury suffered last round, will not play in Game 2.
For the Hawks, the heart and soul of their team/the man who checks LeBron on defense, DeMarre Carroll, hyper-extended his knee during Game 1, but will be active for Friday's matchup.
For the higher seeded Hawks, winning Game 2 is so important, not only because they are going to Cleveland for the next two contests, but teams down 0-2 in conference finals, go on to lose the series a whopping 94 percent of the time.
