Jimmy Butler Departs Chicago and His Spectacular Downtown Mansion (Photos)

Photos of Jimmy Butler’s Downtown Chicago Mansion Without question, the biggest bit of news from Thursday night’s NBA Draft was the blockbuster trade that sent three-time All-Star Jimmy Butler from the Chicago Bulls to the Minnesota Timberwolves. In the deal, Minnesota sent Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn and the rights to Lauri Markkanen to Chicago, in exchange for Butler and the rights to Justin Patton.

Last season, Butler put together his best NBA season, averaging 23.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.9 steals per game. The 27-year-old arrives in Minneapolis with two years remaining on his current contract, with an option for a third year.

As the 27-year-old Butler relocates 400 miles to the north and west, he leaves behind a spectacular 10,000-square-foot townhome in the River North section of downtown Chicago. Butler purchased the property for $4.3 million in 2015.

The nine-year-old abode features six bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, a modern and open kitchen, wine cellar, elevator, rooftop and other outdoor space and a three-car garage.

The pad sits two miles northeast of the United Center and The Advocate Center, the Bulls respective home arena and practice facility, located on the same Near West Side street.
