Longtime NBA Star Vince Carter Signing Autographs (Video)

Lance Martinez from My Detroit Sports sends along this original video of Memphis Grizzlies forward Vince Carter signing autographs at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

The 39-year-old Carter is playing in his 19th NBA season. After being selected with the fifth pick in the 1998 draft, Carter has put together a lengthy and highly productive career, in the many years since winning the ’98 Rookie of the Year award and 2000 slam dunk contest. Carter is currently the NBA’s oldest active player.

After spending his first 12 seasons with the Raptors and Nets, the Florida native bounced between the Magic, Suns and Mavericks, before joining the Grizzlies in 2014. The North Carolina alum has appeared in 8 All-Star Games, while averaging 18.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists for his career.

This season, Carter remains a key contributor for Memphis, tallying 8.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game, for the 25-18 Grizzlies. Even at age 39, Carter still puts in 24 minutes of work per game.
