Stephen Curry Scores Magnificent Bay Area Home (Photos)
With the Golden State Warriors undefeated train stopping through Indianapolis on Tuesday, the 22-0 world champs have come upon perhaps the toughest challenge to their record-setting start. Whatever happens on the court versus the Pacers, defending NBA MVP Stephen Curry will have a beautiful Bay Area mansion to return to, once his team’s current 7-game road trip concludes.
Curry and family recently moved into a 5-bedroom, 6-bathroom home in the East Bay suburb of Walnut Creek, California. Built in 2012, the 7,894-square-foot pad boasts of 7-vehicle garage space, professional kitchen, wine cellar with tasting room, guest house and sun porch (views of downtown Walnut Creek and Mount Diablo).
The 1-acre property sits 2 miles south of vibrant downtown Walnut Creek, 17 miles east of the Warriors downtown Oakland practice facility and 23 miles northeast of Oracle Arena.
Looking down the road a couple years, it should be noted that the Curry estate rests 25 miles across the Bay Bridge from GSW’s new San Francisco arena, scheduled to open in 2018.
