Zach LaVine With Fans (Photo)

Amid all the talented players that made their way to New York City, for last weekend's All-Star festivities, perhaps no one generated a greater buzz than Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Zach LaVine. The 19-year-old's runaway victory in the Spite Slam Dunk Contest brought attention to an event that many thought had lost its luster.

“The Timberwolves' Zach LaVine single-handedly brought the dunk contest back!”

Those are the words, via Twitter, of the great Magic Johnson.

Months before his dunk contest performance, LaVine's ability to fly though the air was captured (during the preseason), courtesy of this iFolloSports.com original video and article.

Moving forward, the goal of LaVine and the Wolves is to harness raw athletic ability into a level of NBA stardom, worthy of the 13th pick in the 2014 draft.

Prior to a recent game at The Palace of Auburn Hills, the high flyer signed autographs, per the above iFolloSports.com original photo.

It will be interesting to see if the line for a LaVine autograph grows, now that his name is far more prominent in the NBA lexicon.
