Super Bowl XLVII Team, NFL & Media Bases Of Operation
Super Bowl XLVII will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday. The beauty of holding a large scale sporting event in the relatively compact Crescent City is that all the key areas of interest tend to be within a reasonable distance to one another. This concept is very similar to the logistical setup of Indianapolis (last year's Super Bowl site), while being completely opposite of the more spread out scenarios of South Florida and Dallas/Ft. Worth (sites of Super Bowls previous to Indy & NO).
The iconic Mercedes-Benz Superdome is located at 1500 Poydras Street in downtown New Orleans. The Saints home field opened its doors in 1975. After sustaining significant damage from Hurricane Katrina, during 2005, the building endured an extensive renovation and reopened for the 2006 season

John Harbaugh's squad is conducting preparation efforts at Tulane University, located in the city's Uptown neighborhood, four miles west of the Hilton. The Ravens are working out on a temporary football field, constructed within the school's baseball stadium (Turchin Stadium), because the nearby football facilities are under renovation.
*Both teams are spending portions of the week practicing inside the Saints indoor facility.
NFL Headquarter Hotel
The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is the base of operation for the 633 media organizations, who have sent 4,589 journalists (from 28 countries) to cover the big game in the Big Easy. Radio Row is also situated at the downtown convention center, located at 900 Convention Center Boulevard, 1.4 miles from the Superdome.
Network Broadcasting Locations
CBS (broadcast home of Super Bowl XLVII) is holding court at New Orleans' famous Jackson Square, located in the French Quarter, 1.5 miles northeast of the Superdome.
ESPN is setting up shop in the parking lot of Jax Brewery, situated at 600 Decatur Street, one half block from Jackson Square, also in the French Quarter.
NFL Network is dispensing the information between the Superdome, convention center and Woldenberg Park. The park sits on the shores of the Mississippi River, at the edge of the French Quarter.
