Mo Isom trying out for LSU kickerMorlan "Mo" Isom has been an outstanding goalie for the LSU women's soccer team over the past four years. In addition, last fall, she became the first LSU athlete to be crowned homecoming queen.

So, what will she do for an encore?

Isom is attempting to become a walk-on place kicker for the Bayou Bengals. She would become the first female ever to play football in Baton Rouge.

Isom, who is six feet tall, consistently reached the five yard line with her kickoffs, while connecting on a 51-yard field goal in practice last autumn.

English Soccer Fan Handcuffs Himself To NetThere was a recent important midseason soccer game when Everton hosted first place Manchester City in the English Premier League. However, the game was delayed near the end of the first half by an unusual incident.

A fan named John Foley (46) ran onto the pitch and handcuffed himself to the Man City goalpost.  It took several minutes for the police to find bolt cutters and escort him off.

A police spokesman later explained that the fan was protesting low-cost carrier Ryanair for laying off his daughter.

Everton went on to score a huge 1-0 upset.
