Friday afternoon, Tyus Jones, the Apple Valley High School (MN) point guard and top five national high school basketball prospect announced that he will be attending Duke University, next fall. Jones made his final decision after four plus years of being recruited hard by many of the nation's top college basketball programs. It has been reported that Kansas, Kentucky and Baylor were the final schools under consideration. Locally, in the Twin Cities, Minnesota Golden Gopher basketball fans were hoping Jones would stay home and play for the Big Ten institution. But, that was always a pipe dream, because of Jones' opportunity to play for one of the NCAA's top programs.
