KY High School Playoff Game Was 4-0 At Half
If you enjoy slowdown basketball, this game would be perfect for you.
The Notre Dame Academy Pandas took on the Highlands High School Bluebirds in a regional playoff contest last Tuesday at Northern Kentucky University.
Earlier this season, Notre Dame defeated Highlands 59-31.
This time around, Highlands held the ball for 2 to 3 minutes at a time, but still trailed the Pandas 4-0 at half. Highlands only attempted one shot in the entire first half.
Notre Dame then held the ball for four minutes to begin the second half, before racing off to a 13-8 victory. NDA led 6-0 at the end of three quarters, but lost their shutout early in the fourth quarter.
Said Highlands coach Jaime Richey: "Tonight was all strategy for us to make it a close game. We lost big when we tried to run with them. We had to come up with the best possible way to win the game, so we slowed it down."
Said Notre Dame coach Nicole Levandusky: "A win is a win."
