A Really Tall Orange County Basketball Player

Mamadou Ndiaye and Brethren Christian High SchoolFans have been pouring into a tiny gym in Huntington Beach, California to watch Brethren Christian High School play. The Warriors are presently 22-5, but the big attraction is their new center.

Mamadou Ndiaye is 7-5 without shoes and weighs 310 pounds.  He is quite agile for his size and the junior is taller than anyone currently playing in the NBA.  His shoe size is 19 1/2.

Born in Senegal, he is averaging 23 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks per game, despite only playing basketball for two years after competing in soccer as a youth.

Colleges are taking notice and strong interest has been expressed by Purdue. Georgia, UC-Santa Barbara and USC, among others.
