Does anyone in MLB have bigger shoes to fill this season than Didi Gregorius? It is always difficult to replace a legend and there has been no greater icon in modern-day baseball than that of the great Derek Jeter. Acquired from Arizona in December, Gregorius, a 25-year-old native of Amsterdam (raised in Curacao) will assume the role of Yankees shortstop on opening day, the first time someone other than Jeter has done so since 1995, except for 2013, when Jeter opened the season on the disabled list.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Yasiel Puig can easily be classified as the most polarizing player in baseball. It is hard to believe that he has yet to play two full seasons of Big League ball. Despite his numbers lagging slightly from his rookie campaign, the 24-year-old Cuban was instrumental in LA advancing to the postseason, for the second straight year.

As part of iFolloSports.com's ongoing photo submission contest, Michael Pierce submitted the above old school photo with former MLB star Dale Murphy.
Pierce first met and got this picture with Murphy, then of the Atlanta Braves, back in 1978, a few days before his 10th birthday. Pierce is on the left of Murphy, with his younger brother positioned on the right.
Pierce would go on to meet Murphy, on a couple more occasions, getting Murphy's autograph on cards, posters and even a cracked bat.
