UFC Champ Ronda Rousey Really Gets Busy During Training

Ronda Rousey and sex during trainingRonda Rousey is the UFC women's bantamweight champion, who also happens to be the only female with a contract in the ultimate fighting organization. While appearing on Jim Rome's new Showtime program, the MMA competitor was asked if she had any training secrets and how long she abstains from sex before a fight, given that boxers and soccer players are known to abstain for weeks.

"For girls it raises your testosterone," answered Rousey, who is single.

“I try to have as much sex as possible before I fight actually. Not with like everybody, I don't put out like a Craigslist ads or anything, but if I got a steady I'm going to be like, 'Yo, fight time's coming up."

Rousey is 6-0 in the UFC, all as a result of first round submissions. She is also a two-time US Olympian, who won a bronze medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Perhaps the best comment on sex before competition came from Hall of Fame manager Casey Stengel of the New York Yankees:  "It ain't getting it that hurts them. It's staying up all night looking for it."
