Another Epic Collapse By The Pittsburgh Pirates

Pittsburgh Pirates 19 consecutive losing seasonsLast year, the Pittsburgh Pirates led the NL Central after 100 games, only to close out the season 16-40, finishing 2011 at 72-90, their 19th consecutive losing season.

In 2012, it appeared that their recent history of futility was about to finally end.  But, the Pirates have now lost 13 of 15 games (as of Saturday), dropping to 74-77.

Suddenly, the team is once again in good position to extend their North American professional sports record.

The Bucs were 63-47 in early August, but have gone 11-30 since.

Let's go Pirates--- you are so close.
