Al Kaline Autograph Event In Detroit | Photos

Here is an original photo of Tigers legend and baseball hall of famer Al Kaline signing autographs, prior to a game at Comerica Park in Detroit. The glimpse was provided by Lance Martinez of My Detroit Sports.

Kaline was one of the best of the old-time players, who played during a portion of baseball’s golden age.  From 1953-1974, the outfielder was an 18-time All-Star, 10-time Gold Glover and the 1955 AL batting champ.

Kaline also helped the Tigers beat the Cardinals in the 1968 World Series.

All told, the Baltimore native collected 3,007 hits, 399 home runs and 1,583 RBI, during his illustrious run in the Motor City. These accomplishments earned him election into the Hall of Fame in 1980.

Since retiring from baseball, the now 82-year-old has remained with the Tigers as both a television analyst and special assistant.

An Al Kaline autograph signing is always a big deal in the state of Michigan.
