Cuddyer was back in Minnesota where he played the bulk of his career with the Twins, from 2001-2011. The Virginia native also spent time with the Mets and Rockies. In 2013, the two-time All-Star won the NL batting title while playing for Colorado.
Cuddyer remains one of the more popular Twins players, of the last several years. He was part of the franchise’s run of six AL Central division titles, from 2002-2010. “Cuddy” was known for his power and position versatility, as well as being very good to the fans. As a result, the good size turnout for his appearance was not at all a surprise. The now 37-year-old officially retired from baseball during this past offseason.
