Buxton & Sano Enjoying Some Minnesota Culture (Photos)

Buxton & Sano at the Minnesota State Fair Saturday, the Minnesota Twins top rookie prospects, Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano, appeared at the annual Minnesota State Fair. The “Great Minnesota Get Together” is held in the Twin Cities suburb of Falcon Heights, located five miles east of downtown Minneapolis. In 2014, the 12-day event drew just shy of two million attendees.

Below and in the upper right are iFolloSports.com original photos of the pair eating some of the fair's famous corn on the cob, as well as leading baseball drills for fans. The ballplayers' day also included a sampling of cheese curds, pronto pups and fried candy bars.

Since Sano was called up in early July, the 22-year-old has posted 13 HR and 40 RBI. These numbers have lofted him into consideration for AL Rookie of the Year.

Buxton has gotten off to a slower start in his first season, missing almost two months with a broken thumb. Going into Tuesday, Buxton is batting .210, with 9 runs scored.

Twins fans can also view other original behind the scenes stories featuring both Buxton and Sano.
