Colby Rasmus Hanging With Jays Fans (Video)
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Colby Rasmus is in his fourth MLB season and his first full campaign in Toronto. Rasmus played the first two and a half years of his career with the St. Louis Cardinals, with 2010 being his best performance, as he hit 23 homeruns and tallied 66 RBI.
In July of 2011, Rasmus was sent to Toronto, as part of a ten-player/three-team trade, with pitcher Edwin Jackson being the most notable name to land in St. Louis.
Entering Monday night's game versus Tampa Bay, Rasmus has hit 3 home runs and netted 14 RBI so far this season.
As the above iFolloSports.com original video displays, Rasmus is very popular among Blue Jays fans. The clip shows him signing autographs and even posing for a picture with a young fan. This scene took place near the Blue Jays' dugout at Target Field in Minneapolis, a few hours before the Twins beat the Blue Jays 7-6 last Friday.
Many Jays fans made the trip down from Canada to see the country's only MLB team take the field in the bordering US state of Minnesota.
This particular game featured a two hour rain delay.
Rasmus went 1-4, with an RBI in the loss.
Also, below are two additional pieces of iFolloSports.com original video, featuring the Blue Jays pregame efforts.
The first video showcases All-Star slugger Jose Bautista taking some cuts during batting practice. He would later blast two homeruns in that evening's ballgame.
The second clip shows the Jays team exiting the field, after the conclusion of their pregame road routine.
