The Cubs Turn Their Back On A Hometown Institution

American Airlines Cubs Official Airline As the Chicago Cubs continue to pursue the franchise’s first World Series appearance since 1945 and their first World Series victory since 1908, a Texas based airline has struck a deal to align themselves with the club’s historic run.

After spurning their relationship with Chicago’s own United Airlines, the Cubs announced that Fort Worth, Texas headquartered American Airlines is now the team’s official airline.
