Despite A World Series Shellacking, Las Vegas Loves The Tigers In 2013
In the recently completed 2012 World Series, the Detroit Tigers were ignominiously swept by the now world champion San Francisco Giants. But, this doesn't mean that Las Vegas has no love for the American League champs from the Motor City.
According to the wagering website pregame.com, the Tigers are a 7-1 favorite to win the 2013 title, with the New York Yankees second choice at 8-1.
World Series champion San Francisco is third at 10-1, followed by the LA Angels at 12-1, with Washington and Texas next at 13-1.
Rounding out the top ten are Cincinnati (14-1), Philadelphia (15-1), St. Louis (15-1) and Atlanta (17-1).
Other prominent teams include the Dodgers (18-1), Boston (24-1), Baltimore and Oakland (25-1), and the New York Mets (40-1).
If you prefer long shots, the Chicago Cubs are 76-1, Kansas City is 80-1, with Houston is last at 150-1.
