Fan Photo Submission: Yasiel Puig

Reader Shaan Khilnani provides with a photo of he and the Los Angeles Dodgers sparkplug known as Yasiel Puig. Khilnani also included a picture of a baseball signed by Puig during the encounter.

Since arriving in LA in June of 2013, Puig has found his way onto the pages of numerous times, as a result of his continual efforts with fans. While some may question the way in which the 25-year-old Cuban comports himself on the field, no one can take any issue with the level of respect he feels towards the paying customers of Major League Baseball.

Puig arrived with a flurry in 2013, hitting .319, with 19 HR and 42 RBI, in just 104 games. His immediate stardom led to a starting spot in the 2014 All-Star Game, though he finished that season on a cold streak, belting just 16 HR and 69 RBI in total.

Last season, Puig struggled through injuries, only playing in 79 games. He comes into 2016 healthy and in the best shape of his career, after slimming down during the offseason.

Time will tell if the right fielder will regain the level of production that catapulted him into national stardom, less than three years ago.
