Former MLB Commissioner Bud Selig At Beverly Hills Baseball Gala (Video)
Here is iFolloSports.com original video of MLB Commissioner Emeritus Bud Selig at last weekend’s 15th Annual In the Spirit of the Game dinner, held at the Beverly Hilton, in Beverly Hills, California.
Selig served as baseball’s boss from 1992 through 2015. Prior his nearly quarter century running MLB, the Wisconsin native and resident was the Brewers majority owner for the prior 22 years.
Selig’s tenure as commish included divisional realignment, the advent of the wild card playoff format, a bevy of new ballparks and an unprecedented spike in industry revenue.
The now 83-year-old’s reign also featured the 1994 work stoppage, that led to the cancellation of the World Series, along with the big homerun numbers and subsequent fallout from what will forever be known as baseball’s steroid era.
Selig’s résumé is most certainly a mix of very good and very bad.
