Guillermo Mota Must Have Taken Some Weak Steroids

Guillermo Mota suspended 100 gamesVeteran reliever Guillermo Mota of the San Francisco Giants received a suspension of 100 games Monday, after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs. This is the second time that Mota has failed a test of this nature.

Mota received a 50-game suspension back in 2006.

His agent, Adam Katz, claimed that the positive finding was because Mota was taking a children's cough syrup.

Considering that Mota is sporting an ERA of 5.06 this season, were his drugs really performance enhancing?
