The Houston Astros New York City ALCS Hotel

Houston Astros Omni Berkshire Place hotel 2017 ALCSiFolloSports.com has learned that since arriving in New York City, for Games 3 through 5 of the American League Championship Series, the American League Western Division winning Houston Astros have called the Omni Berkshire Place hotel home.

Located at East 52nd Street and Madison Avenue, the Midtown Manhattan property is found eight miles southwest of Yankee Stadium, which sits in the South Bronx, immediately east of the Major Deegan Expressway.

During the regular season, the majority of MLB teams stay at either the Grand Hyatt New York, the Lotte New York Palace Hotel or The Westin New York at Times Square.

Since travel planning for the postseason involves just a couple days of logistical strategizing, as opposed to the many months allotted for April through September travel efforts, hotels that are not normally frequented by teams suddenly become beneficiaries of this big influx of money.

An example of this phenomenon occurred during the 2015 World Series, when the Kansas City Royals stayed at the New York Hilton Midtown hotel, instead of the above properties.
